They are small, often the size of a pinhead, and have flat tops. As many as 100 flat warts can cluster up together. They can be pink, light brown, yellow, or skin-colored. Flat warts tend to appear on the face and forehead; however, they can also grow on the neck, arms, and hands.

What are the causes? Like other types of warts, flat warts are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). This virus enters the body through breaks in the skin and can be transmitted from person to person through direct or indirect contact. Flat warts are often spread by shaving.
